The client’s objectives and expectations

Development of an energy and decarbonization master plan for the Solenzara Air Base 126 in Corsica, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions and optimize energy consumption.

Our main missions

  • Audit of HVAC buildings and installations for heat production and distribution.
  • Development of the work schedule for upgrading and evolving the installations according to several scenarios.
  • Preparation of the tender documents.
  • Analysis of received offers and assistance with contracting.
  • Assistance during the construction phase and start-up of the Energy Performance Contract.

Project specifications

  • 381 active buildings, including 106 heated,
  • Internal district heating network serving 47 substations,
  • Energy needs: 5.5 GWh useful energy, 2,500 tons of CO2/year,
  • Island context: no gas network, stored energies (except electricity),
  • Maximum investment: €11,100,000.

Results obtained

  • 40% reduction in final energy consumption for the HVAC package,
  • 54% reduction in GHG emissions for the HVAC package,
  • 32% renewable energy in the energy mix.
