The client’s objectives and expectations

  • Recover site-generated biomass for steam production,
  • Study the feasibility of a biomass boiler plant for self-consumption,
  • Build a new reliable and high-performance gas steam boiler plant,
  • Optimize utilities (cooling production, water treatment, heat recovery),
  • Reduce CO2 emissions and improve energy efficiency.

Our main missions

Mission 1: Feasibility study for a biomass steam boiler plant (February 2024)
  • Site visit and analysis of consumption data,
  • Characterization of available biomass (lentil hulls and rice bran),
  • Sizing of biomass boiler plant scenarios (1 MW and 3 MW),
  • Environmental, economic, and technical analysis,
  • Selection of specialized suppliers (Minigreen and Binder).
Mission 2: Project management for the creation of a gas boiler plant and utilities (June 2024)
  • Drafting of the Final Preliminary Design,
  • Preparation of the Tender Documents (CCTP, DPGF, plans),
  • Management of the technical design of the gas steam boiler plant (10 t/h),
  • Integration of a condenser and an economizer for heat recovery,
  • Implementation of cooling systems, water treatment, and waste heat recovery,
  • Study of several boiler technologies; final choice: horizontal 100% gas steam boiler.

Project specifications

Results obtained

  • Potential reduction in GHG emissions of up to 977 tCO₂/year (-76% for mission 1),
  • Implementation of a gas steam boiler plant to ensure operational reliability and flexibility,
  • Utilities optimization (water treatment, cooling, heat recovery) to reduce costs and energy consumption.
