The client’s objectives and expectations

The client wants to reduce the site’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

greenhouse gas reduction at Airbus Rochefort

Our main missions

We are conducting an in-depth study to connect the AIRBUS site to the municipality’s district heating network using a small biomass boiler. This initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency. In addition, we are exploring further decarbonization solutions, such as surface geothermal energy or the installation of a biomass boiler.

Project characteristics:

The project involves the installation of a 4 MW biomass boiler or heat pump.

Results obtained

The connection to the city’s district heating network has been approved. We are now launching additional studies to recover the site’s waste heat and explore the potential of shallow aquifer geothermal energy. These initiatives aim to optimize energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint.

This decarbonization project for the AIRBUS site has made it possible to explore various technical solutions, combining the pooling of uses via the district heating network and complementary sources of decarbonization such as biomass or geothermal energy. These initiatives aim to reduce the carbon footprint while optimizing energy efficiency.
