The client’s objectives and expectations

Optimize energy performance and ensure reliable operation of urban heat and cooling networks.

Our main missions

  • Revision of the design of a low-temperature heat and cooling network covering five existing networks,
  • Analysis of natural gas and electricity supply (138 MW heat / 118 MW cooling),
  • Identification of energy optimization opportunities and waste recovery.

Project characteristics:

  • Elimination of steam and superheated water,
  • Improvement of efficiencies to 78% (compared to 76%),
  • Increase of the COP to 5 (compared to 4.5).

Results obtained

  • 4 major optimization avenues for a gain of 50 GWh/year,
  • Ensuring operational reliability and improving energy performance,
  • Recovery of energy losses for better network efficiency.
