Our mission

Decarbonization study on 5 residences for the implementation of an air-to-water heat pump or a wood-fired boiler, including a comparative analysis with a gas scenario.

The context

With gas boilers reaching the end of their life, the client is considering replacing the equipment.

Best Energies proposes to study 2 scenarios:

  • Identical 100% gas
  • Renewable energy scenario (district heating, wood, or heat pump).

Key elements (benefits and constraints of the project)

Wood energy solution (1 residence)

  • Residence 327 m² – 5 housing units
  • Total project: €60,000
  • Renewable energy consumption of the residence: 68 MWh
  • GHG savings: 13 tonnes CO2eq.

Heat pump solution (5 residences)

  • Total project cost: €607,000
  • CEE subsidy: €51,000
  • IRR (with subsidies): 22 years
  • GHG savings: 106 tonnes CO2eq.

Vilogia is partnering with Best Energies to decarbonize its real estate portfolio. Since 2022 and the energy crisis, Best Energies has been proud to support Vilogia in this strategy working toward energy transition and ensuring energy independence, a cornerstone for maintaining fair and stable costs for this social housing provider.
