Project Management Assistance

Project Management Assistance (AMO) is a consulting and support service for the project owner (MOA) in managing projects. It helps define needs, oversee the project, monitor progress, and manage technical, financial, and administrative aspects. AMO ensures coordination and compliance with deadlines and budgets, thus facilitating the success of complex projects.

  • Programmation :
    • Feasibility studies: technical solutions and options, budget estimates
    • Master plan for heating networks, master plan for renewable energies.
  • Implementation of delegation contracts (operation, exploitation, maintenance)
    • Preparation of consultation documents for Public Service Delegation (DSP), global public performance contracts (MPGP), Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), and operation-maintenance contracts
    • Organization and coordination of consultations, analysis of bids
  • Energy performance project management assistance (EPC)
    • Assistance, consulting, and implementation of energy performance contracts
    • Project management assistance for implementing an energy and environmental performance approach in the context of construction
  • Environmental project management assistance
    • Assistance with the HQE (High Environmental Quality) process up to certification attainment,
    • Carbon footprint assessment, environmental report…
  • Technical project management assistance and commissioning
    • Assistance during the design of thermal installations (heating, DHW, and ventilation)
    • Assistance during the execution of the works
    • Assistance during project handover.

Maintenance engineering

Maintenance engineering is a field that provides specialized consulting to ensure the proper functioning and durability of technical equipment. It goes far beyond simple repairs in the event of a breakdown: it relies on proactive, preventive, and sometimes predictive management.

We focus on 5 key points:

  • Preventive maintenance
  • Corrective maintenance
  • Predictive maintenance
  • Optimization of energy performance
  • Compliance with standards and regulations

The goal is to maximize machine availability, reduce maintenance costs, and ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Project management

From a few MW to several hundred, Best Energies handles the design, project management, and implementation of your energy production plants (Electricity, Heat, Steam, Cooling): district heating plants, Energy Recovery Units (ERU), cogeneration, renewable energies (biomass, solar, wind, geothermal), industrial steam, networks (district heating, drinking water, public lighting).

From opportunity studies to industrial commissioning, including improvements in industrial organization and reliability studies, our experts meet your needs with efficient solutions that optimize construction and production activities while meeting our clients’ technical, financial, environmental, and regulatory constraints.

Project engineering

Best Energies conducts opportunity and feasibility studies for the use of renewable and recoverable energies and provides project management for these initiatives: wood-fired boiler plants, cogeneration, wind, solar, geothermal…

We have a comprehensive list of references available upon request, not only for Biomass, but also in other fields such as: Hydraulics – Geothermal – Heat Pumps – Wind – Solar Thermal – Photovoltaic – Methanation – Hydrogen – Waste Heat Recovery.

Best Energies supports its clients in carrying out strategic development studies for district heating networks: project definition, master plans, studies, technical & economic assessments, audits, and consulting during DSP procedures.

Renewable and Recoverable Energy Master Plan for Territories and District Heating Networks

Best Energies defines Renewable and Recoverable Energy (EnR\&R) master plans for territories or district heating networks (SDRCU – a tool for energy planning and decarbonization).

This aims to identify and harness renewable (solar, geothermal, methanation, wind, etc.) and recoverable energy sources available within a territory.

This master plan outlines the pathways for reducing energy consumption and increasing EnR\&R production, while integrating these energies into existing or planned district heating networks.

Decarbonization & Energy Strategy in Industry

We develop decarbonization plans for our clients.

Decarbonization in industry involves reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by adopting cleaner and more sustainable technologies and practices.

This includes the use of renewable energy, improvement of energy efficiency, and carbon capture and storage.

The energy strategy in industry aims to optimize energy consumption while minimizing environmental impact.

It includes the planning and implementation of measures to use more sustainable energy sources, reduce energy costs, and improve the energy resilience of industrial facilities or capture CO2.

Training & Expertise

At Best Energies, training and expertise are at the heart of our commitment to excellence.

We offer specialized training programs to develop the technical and professional skills of our team members, enabling them to master the latest innovations and technologies in the field of energy and industrial engineering.

We offer a wide range of training programs:

  • On renewable energies and wood energy,
  • On the key elements of heating and cooling networks,
  • On the basics of operating high-capacity wood-fired boiler plants (>< 750 kW),
  • On the introduction to maintenance of wood-fired boiler plants,
  • On low- and high-capacity wood energy heating and the sizing of district heating networks,
  • On the management and optimization of operation contracts.

Commissioning

The commissioning of HVAC installations, also known as start-up, is a methodical process aimed at ensuring that all operational elements of a project function according to established requirements and specifications.

This process spans from planning and design to construction and implementation, and is essential to avoid costly modifications later on.

  • Performance assurance: It ensures that all systems, equipment, and installations operate as intended.
  • Energy efficiency: Commissioning helps optimize energy consumption, which can reduce long-term operating costs.
  • Compliance with standards: For certifications like LEED or HQE, commissioning is crucial to ensure buildings meet energy efficiency criteria.

We intervene for:

  • Commissioning of new constructions: Used for projects in the design or construction phase.
  • Re-Commissioning: Checks and validates systems already in operation to ensure they are still functioning properly.
  • Retro-commissioning: Applied to existing buildings that were not previously commissioned, it aims to identify possible improvements.
  • Monitoring-based commissioning: Uses modern technologies to monitor a project’s systems in real time.

Energy Audit

The energy audit is a key process to optimize the energy performance of your facilities. It involves a thorough analysis of the energy consumption of your buildings or equipment to identify sources of waste and opportunities for improvement.

Our experts conduct a detailed assessment, an energy balance of various uses, and provide concrete recommendations to reduce consumption and energy costs.

We offer different types of audits, such as:

  • Definition of a strategic energy performance plan for a property portfolio.
  • Regulatory energy audits: “tertiary” decree, Global Technical Diagnosis (DTG) according to ADEME specifications.
  • Condominiums, Large companies.
  • Health risk audit: Legionella and bacterial contamination.
  • Risks of accidental or criminal contamination of air duct networks.
  • Audit and assistance for the handover of renewable energy production facilities.
  • Audit of installation pathologies.
  • Energy audit of real estate assets.

Elevators

In the same spirit as HVAC systems, our elevator experts work to ensure the availability and quality of elevators, escalators, and freight lifts. Our elevator design office is at the heart of optimizing and ensuring the safety of vertical transportation systems, and our role goes far beyond by considering all technical, regulatory, and human aspects of the project.

  • Project management for your elevator installations,
  • Project management for your elevator installations,
